Lee County Sheriff’s Office and FBI agents were conducting an investigation at a gas station in North Fort Myers Monday night.

There were around a dozen agents on scene along with LCSO at the Gulf Express gas station at the NW corner of Orange Grove Boulevard and Pondella Road.

At least one person was seen being taken away in handcuffs and another woman was detained on the sidewalk. It’s not clear if either of those people are connected to the incident, but the FBI did confirm Tuesday morning that an arrest has been made.

A minivan at the scene also appeared to be the focus of the investigation. It was towed away this morning.

The scene cleared around 4 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Neither the FBI or LCSO had comment or further information to share in the investigation at this time.
