Family, friends and his comrades threw Joseph Innes his 100th birthday celebration in North Naples. He moved to the states near the Great Depression, then went on to serve his country and complete 35 missions in the sky.

Innes said he lives a social life these days.

“I see most of these people at the fitness center or rather they see me!” Innes said.

The WWII veteran said he would serve all over again if he could. Innes accomplishments did not end with the U.S. Air Force.  He also has a patent for car brakes.
