A member of the Lake Boyz gang was sentenced to prison followed by probation for two counts of Trafficking in heroin to Lee County.

According to the Office of the State Attorney, Mark Francis Walker was found guilty and sentenced immediately to 10 years in prison followed by 15 years probation after he was caught mailing heroin from Arizona to Lee County.

The package with heroin in it was found by FedEx workers when it was returned and the address check found that both names on the box were fictitious.

FedEx workers contacted Lee County Sheriff’s Office who then brought a drug dog to inspect the package, identifying that drugs were inside. The box was open and black tar heroin was found, and the investigation began.

The evidence showed that Walker was the primary supplier of heroin that was brought into the Lake Boys gang for sale throughout Lee County.

There remains 13 Lake Boyz defendants pending prosecution at this moment.
