History made!

On Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, the first all-female, three-pilot flight crew headed into Hurricane Dorian, according to the NOAA Aircraft Operations Center.

The group headed out on a reconnaissance mission for the storm Thursday afternoon.

The crew featured Capt. Kristie Twining, Cmdr. Rebecca Waddington and Lt. Lindsey Norman.
