Two people died and one person was left in critical condition after a car hit 3 pedestrians walking down a road in Manatee County. According to Florida Highway Patrol, Donald Keefer, 47, and Tyler Pittard, 13, were walking down U.S. 19 when a driver ran onto the shoulder of the road and clipped the two and another pedestrian who is now in critical condition. Following the incident, the driver sped away from the scene before checking on the victims. The vehicle that was possibly involved in the accident has been impounded by law enforcement. A criminal investigation is underway.
