Collier teen arrested for threatening student with weapons on Snapchat

Collier County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 13-year-old boy after deputies say he made a threat against another student on social media.

According to the arrest report, the teen sent a message to a fellow Pine Ridge Middle School student over Snapchat and said he was going to bring guns and knives to school and beat her up.

The victim told deputies the teen had been spreading rumors about her at school, and she told the principal, who sent an email to parents to alert them the suspected teen was arrested for the threats he made.

The teen was taken to Collier County jail.
