Jamie Hill. (Credit: WINK News) A former high school employee is accused Tuesday night of kissing and groping a student. The long-time School District of Lee County employee, Jamie Hill, has been arrested at her Lehigh Acres home on Monday for inappropriately touching a student. According to the arrest report, a Lehigh Senior High School student told school administrators Hill kissed her on the cheek. She also touched her butt and breast during lunch in May. Parents, like Tonya Stubbs, said they expect more when they send their children to school. “I’m disgusted that some human would do this,” Stubbs said. “Me being a parent, I send my child to school for an education and trusting that they’re safe. So having a faculty or someone that’s employed there to display that, I’m very upset to hear that.” The district told WINK News Hill had been working for it since 2009. Most recently, she was working as a paraprofessional at Lehigh Senior. The arrest report said Hill claimed she was only joking with the student when she kissed her on the cheek. In addition, she touched the student’s back and upper chest. The district sent us a statement, which reads in part: When allegations were brought forward, the district immediately engaged the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and DCF in the investigation and turned our findings over to them. The safety and security of our students is our highest priority.
