First day of school kicks off for thousands in SWFL

Monday was the first day of school for thousands of students in Southwest Florida.

Students in Charlotte, Hendry and DeSoto counties also kicked off their first day.

And the back-to-school excitement has not ended in Southwest Florida yet, as Collier County students return to the classroom Tuesday.
