Credit: Google Maps via WINK News. Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian north of Immokalee in Collier County Sunday morning. FHP confirmed Manuel Dejesus Nunez, 45, of Immokalee was hit and killed while riding a bicycle along State Road 29 around 7:30 a.m. According to the FHP crash report, a driver in a 2007 GMC Envoy was traveling southbound on SR-29 north of New Market Road West (County Road 29A), while Nunez was riding a bike southbound on the west shoulder of SR-29 ahead of the GMC. The GMC went onto the shoulder of the road, hitting and killing Nunez, who was ejected from the bike. The driver of the GMC was not injured and faces a charge for Failure To Drive In A Single Lane.
