One dog was injured during a North Fort Myers mobile home fire Friday morning.

Firefighters cut through the collapsed roof of a mobile home to let investigators get a look at the ruins. They also brought in dogs to search for any human remains or accelerants.

The homeowner, Wesley Robertson, told WINK News he did not even know there was a fire at the home he owned until our app push alerted him on his smartphone.

“WINK News popped up on my phone with an alert,” Robertson said. “I was getting ready to come here to meet with the seller to meet the guys that we’re going to buy it.”

Robertson told us he does not live there. He said the home is an investment property. But now there is nothing to sell, but rubble.

The extend of the injuries to the dog are currently unknown.
