North Fort Myers new librar. Photo via WINK News Today marks a new chapter for the North Fort Myers library after a ribbon cutting ceremony took place to officially open it’s doors. Monday morning, county commissioners cut the ribbon for the $13.5 million library off Tamiami Trail. The location of the library is the same, but with four times the amount of space, fully equipped with a meeting room for event, private study spaces, more computers and separate spaces for different age groups. “It’s incredible to see that everybody’s got their own space here. The teams have their own space, the kids have their own space. And the old building, it was just one room and everyone was cramped,” Lee County Commissioner, Brian Hamman said.
