“Where’s The Bus” app helps parents keep track of their kids headed to school

Published: Updated:

Riding a bus to school can be stressful to both the parent and the student, so to give parents peace of mind, Collier County launched the “Where’s The Bus” app late last April, and now it is ready for bus riders and their families to take advantage of this upcoming school year.

20,000 students in Collier County ride the bus to and from school every day, and now with this app parents can track the bus with a touch of a button.

Lee County had the app in full force last year and found a flaw that makes some moms feel uneasy.

“When he’s not on his regular bus it will say that he’s at the bus garage. For other parents to have more peace of mind… I think they need to have it updated majorly,” Melissa Thomas said.

Charlotte, Hendry, and Glades also have ways you can track bus locations and locate various bus stops in your area.
