One person was killed and two injured in a shooting at a large party at an industrial complex in Lehigh Acres early Sunday morning.

Around 2:30 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call of shots fired at the 5000 block of Lee St.

Upon arriving at the industrial complex, LCSO deputies found a large party with 200 to 300 people, one shooting victim dead and two other people with non-life threatening injuries.

“I’m really just traumatized by it,” Marcus Williams said. “I can’t stop thinking about it even if I try — can’t sleep, can’t stop crying.”

Williams said he was walking in the parking lot with his friend, who was shot and killed at the party. His friend’s identity is pending release of information from the sheriff’s office.

A woman who was in the area when the party was taking place told WINK News she saw some law enforcement personnel equipped with high-powered, assault rifles in hand.

“We seen an officer with an AK walking around,” said Abimaely Perez Ortiz, referring to an AK-47 assault rifle. “We didn’t know if it was safe or not since at the moment there wasn’t a suspect detained.”

Ortiz, who lives along the street, told us there were sounds of screaming in the background and the blare from ambulances. She was worried if it was an isolated shooting.

“Cops were trying to block the scene from anyone trying to come in or out,” Ortiz said.

Anyone with information connected to investigation can call Southwest Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).

LCSO has not released the names of the other two victims shot, since the investigation is still active. No suspects have been arrested currently.

“It was really crazy and really scary,” Williams said. “I don’t think I’ll ever be all right.
