Fiery hit-and-run crash injures one on SR-82 in Lehigh Acres

Florida Highway Patrol along with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office was on scene of a hit-and-run crash with injuries in Lehigh Acres Friday.

The crash happened on State Road 82 at Alabama Road S. and involved three vehicles.

At least one vehicle caught fire and witnesses say the driver of one vehicle fled the scene.

One person was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

All roadways have since reopened and the sheriff’s office is investigating.
