Port Charlotte stabbing suspect faces manslaughter charges

A man has been arrested for a fatal stabbing in Port Charlotte Sunday evening.

The suspect, Rondale Robbins, 29, faces a Manslaughter charge.

On Sunday around 9:30 p.m., Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 19000 block of Midway Blvd. in Port Charlotte.

Upon arriving at the scene, the body of a male was laying in the roadway with visible injuries, the CCSO press release states. The victim was taken to Lee County Trauma Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

Witnesses told CCSO detectives that soon after Robbins arrived Sunday evening, a physical altercation between the suspect and the victim began. The front yard fight moved to the driveway where the suspect was seen stabbing the victim.

Robbins has been transported to Charlotte County Jail.
