A Professional Golf Association mentor from Bonita Springs loves spending his time at the golf course helping others ace their goals and improve their overall game.

“I really get a great sense of satisfaction watching them develop,” said Dan Gawronski, Pelicans Nest Golf Club Director of Golf.

Gawronski is a former competitive golfer who now offers internships to Florida Gulf Coast University students like Anton Glass.

“So with my left hand I’m missing two fingers here in the middle, and I’ve got four fingers on the right, and it makes it a bit more difficult,” said Glass.

With the missing fingers on his hand, it was making gripping the golf glove a little more difficult for Glass because there were no gloves that properly fit him.

That is when Gawronski stepped in to help. He took Glass’ hand measurements and worked together with golf apparel company Footjoy to create a one-of-a-kind glove that was perfectly customized to fit Glass’ hand.

“Today he’s got a glove that fits his unique hand like a glove quite frankly and it changes the way he plays golf, said Gawronski.

Anton said he is very thankful for a glove that fits him perfectly and he credits Gawronski for helping him improve his game on the course.

“It’s a cool glove, it really is and it’s definitely helped my overall performance…because of Gawronski. I’m very grateful,” said Glass.
