Photo by WINK News. Fort Myers police now have a suspect in custody after one person was injured in a shooting on Fountain Street in Fort Myers Friday afternoon. According to the FMPD press release, the police department surrounded a nearby boarding house where the suspect fled after the shooting and tenants were evacuated. EMS transported the male victim with a gunshot wound to Lee Memorial Hospital. The scene has been secured, and Fountain Street is being reopened to normal traffic.
