Florida Highway Patrol shared on social media Stephen Wertman Lawrence, 63, was found guilty of vehicular homicide Thursday for intentionally hitting Aaron Wesley, 43, of Port Charlotte. According to FHP, Lawrence backed up his 2001 Chevrolet SUV from the driveway of his home on Fireside Street into a grassy shoulder, which went directly into the path of Wesley approaching on a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle, causing a crash. Wesley died from his injuries in the crash.
