In a new development for the Dr. Teresa Sievers murder case in Lee County, two juries will now listen to prosecutors who are trying to convict husband Mark Sievers and Jimmy Rodgers for her death in 2015.

Wayne Wright, an allegedly hired hit man, admitted to killing Dr. Sievers in 2015. In exchange, he will testify against Mark and Rodgers in June.

Mark is accused of hiring Wright to kill his wife. And Wright allegedly recruited Rodgers to help him with the killing.

The state attorney’s office said it couldn’t comment on the reasoning behind two juries for the trial because it is still an active case.
