Credit: Collier County Sheriff’s Office A Snapchat video has caused the Collier County Sheriff’s office to launch an investigation after a teen could be seen holding a gun in the video, a gun that may belong to a deputy. The video, which is only a couple seconds long, loops again, and again. You can see a teen waving a gun and pointing it at the camera. According to an incident report, the Barron Collier High School principal received an anonymous email that included the video in question. The principal followed protocol took it directly to authorities, not wanting the teen to harm himself or anyone else. The Collier County school district said the teen holding a gun isn’t a student in the district. The sheriff’s office is taking the situation seriously, investigating claims from people alleging the gun belongs to a deputy. CCSO wants to know whether any professional standards were broken.
