There are four more days until taxes are due. And some of us may be waiting until the last minute to submit them.

Anyone who is holding off can still file their taxes as late as 5 p.m. for the Monday, April 15 deadline.

If you’re one of 92 million Americans who already filed their taxes, we wanted to know if you saw any surprises.

We asked a tax expert how to avoid an unpleasant surprise at the end of the year.

“There’s supposed to be new W-4 coming out by the IRS around May 15,” said Charles Massie, a certified public accountant. “I would suggest refilling out the new W-4. It’ll be more complex than the current one, which is very simple. But the new one will help them figure out what they owe.”

So, keep an eye out for those new W-4 forms (Employee Withholding Allowance Certificate) in May.
