Credit: via Flickr In an attempt to make youth sports safer for kids, Collier County is hosting a youth sports safety conference, and are asking parents, coaches, volunteers and officials all to attend. There will be two opportunities to attend the conference, the first is Wednesday night from 6 am- 9 pm. at North Collier Regional Park (15000 Livingston Rd). The second date will be Saturday, April 13, from 9 am – 12 pm. at Norris Community Center (755 8th Ave. South). Topics of discussion at the conference will be concussions, dehydration, heat stroke, basic first aid focusing on sprains and broken limbs, CPR demonstration and Stop the Bleed.
