Hunters catch 17-foot python in Big Cypress National Preserve

Hunters discovered a 140-pound python in the Big Cypress National Preserve in Collier County Monday.

The giant snake was caught because of research and a new approach to finding the invasive species.

The python was over 17-feet long.
