Man accused of 1998 Lee County murder appears in court

A man accused of a murder that happened 21 years ago appeared in court for the first time since his arrest.

Luis Nieves, 52, faced a judge in Lee County Saturday for the murder of Thelma Storrs in 1998.

Nieves was arrested Friday after a witness came forward, saying Nieves admitted to killing Storrs.

Nieves remains in jail on $750,000 bond set by the judge Saturday.
