At least 5 injured in crash at SR 29 and SR 82 north of Immokalee

Authorities are responding to a crash with multiple injuries at the intersection of State Road 82 and State Road 29 north of Immokalee Saturday.

According to Immokalee Fire Control District, at least five people are injured after a dump truck hit a mini-van head-on. Some are considered trauma alerts, and a helicopter is on route to transport people injured in the crash to nearby hospitals.

At least three people were trapped due to the crash.

There is a complete roadblock on SR 29 near the crash. The fire department said to expect major delays.
