Pedestrian injured in Fort Myers crash on Colonial and Veronica Shoemaker

A pedestrian was hit by a car and taken to a nearby hospital.

Fort Myers Police Department responded to a pedestrian-involved crash at the intersection of Colonial Boulevard and Veronica S Shoemaker Boulevard in Fort Myers Friday night.

According to FMPD, the pedestrian has been taken to Lee Memorial Hospital in “guarded condition for treatment.”

Veronica S Shoemaker Blvd. becomes Plantation Road south of the intersection.

The scene is clear of the crash.

Drivers are advised to use caution.
