Sanibel man scores a $2 million POWERBALL prize

A Sanibel man is $2 million richer after winning on a POWERBALL ticket.

Glen Farris, 59, of Sanibel, claimed a $2 million prize from the POWERBALL® drawing held on March 23. The winning ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers but did not match the Powerball.

Farris purchased his winning Quick Pick ticket from Publix, located at 20351 Summerlin Road in Fort Myers, the Florida Lottery press release states. The retailer will receive a $5,000 bonus commission for selling the winning POWERBALL ticket.

The next POWERBALL drawing will be held tonight, March 27, at 10:59 p.m. with an estimated $750 million jackpot, the third largest in history. Winning numbers are available on the Lottery website, at retailers statewide and by phone at (850) 921-PLAY.
