Collier County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 14-year old in connection with the two teens that were stabbed on Monday in Golden Gate.

According to CCSO, the two teenage victims were stabbed around 2 p.m. on 17th Avenue SW near Sunshine Boulevard after a fight that broke out.

One of the teens said his friend was fighting the suspect, when the suspect pulled a knife. The friend said he didn’t want to see his friend get hurt, so he intervened, and that’s when the two were stabbed.

One teen was flow by a trauma helicopter to a nearby hospital, and the other was taken in an ambulance. There sheriff’s office said both have non-life-threatening injuries.

Law enforcement later found the suspect in front of a home at 4200 Washington Lane, and took him into custody without incident.
