LCSO arrests third suspect in North Fort Myers botched robbery

Lee County Sheriff’s Office has made a third arrest in a February robbery attempt at a North Fort Myers business.

The suspect, Robert Diaz, 26, faces charges of four counts of Aggravated Assault with a Weapon, one count of Burglary and two counts of Violation of Probation.

On Feb. 10, Diaz was among two other armed men who entered a business at 560 Pine Island Rd. in North Fort Myers. When they confronted victims, according to the LCSO press release, one shot a suspect with a firearm.

The men would flee the scene. Two of them arrested soon afterward.
