Baker Park dedication phase 1 takes place Thursday

On Thursday, Phase 1 of the Baker Park dedication is set to open in Naples.

The first phase of construction includes the southern and eastern portions of the park that connects Central Ave. and downtown Naples to the Blair Foundation Bridge and the Gordon River Greenway, according to the Baker Park dedication website.

Mayor Bill Barnett will be attending the event, which is held at 10 Riverside Circle, across from the Naples dog park.

The event begins at 10 a.m., and is open to the public.
