RECALL ALERT: Choice Canning Company Inc. Chicken fried rice

Choice Canning Company, Inc. is recalling around 35,459 pounds of chicken fried rice products because of misbranding and undeclared allergens, according to the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Services. The products contain milk but it isn’t stated anywhere on the label.

The products were produced on February 13th, 2019 and February 19th, 2019 and impact the following:

  • 22 oz. printed polybag of “FUSIA Asian Inspirations, Chicken Fried Rice, Complete Skillet Meal,” with a packaging date of 2/13/2019, and a Best if Used By date of 08/13/2020 on the label.
  • 22 oz. printed polybag of “FUSIA Asian Inspirations, Chicken Fried Rice, Complete Skillet Meal,” with a packaging date of 2/19/2019, and a Best if Used By date of 08/19/2020 on the label

They have establishment number P-45217 inside the USDA mark of inspection and were shipped to California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia, according to the FSIS.

The problem was discovered Monday, no injury or illness or adverse reactions have been reported as a result, the FSIS said.
