Photo by WINK News via Google Maps. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a boat crash that left one man dead Friday. Iona McGregor Fire District confirmed a man hit mangroves while boating by himself in Hendry Creek along the 7000 block of Coca Sabal Lane. He was ejected from the boat. Authorities took the man to a nearby hospital where he later died. It is unclear what caused the crash.
