Courtroom sketches of VR Labs owners. (WINK News photo) Another day in the courtroom for Kay Gow, and her husband Robert, as she defends her company, VR Labs. The company is accused of defrauding Lee County taxpayers after winning a $5 million grant. Prosecutors revealed an odd pattern of deposits and payments right after co-defendant, John G Williams, made large investments into VR Labs. Federal prosecutors said the Gows were moving money back and forth between accounts, ultimately laundering the money. Earlier in the case, the defense showed emails from Williams, saying he has intentions to move VR Labs’ plans forward and invested because he believed in the company.
