Fort Myers Police Department say they are investigating two robbery scenes near Deleon Street and Matthew Drive, where two women had their purses stolen. According to FMPD, the first robbery happened on Matthew Drive around 12:48 p.m., when a man approached a female demanding her purse be given to him. He then fled the scene in a stolen white car with an accomplice, and that car was later located abandoned nearby. The second robbery happened shortly after near Deleon Street, and was also a purse snatching. The suspect had a similar description, and was wearing a t-shirt, and tan pants with shoulder length hair. There are no injuries to either victim, FMPD is actively searching for the suspects.
