FHP arrests wanted hit-and-run suspect

A man wanted for a hit-and-run that happened on January, 20 has been arrested, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

According to FHP, troopers arrested Christian Aiken, 21, of Bonita Springs as the driver responsible for the hit-and-run.

Aiken was booked into the Collier County Jail for leaving the scene of a traffic crash involving serious bodily injury along with one count of leaving the scene involving property damage.

The accident happened on I-75 at MM-111, when Aiken made an improper lane change and collided with a motorcycle driven by Codie Doolin, 31, from Cape Coral.

Doolin was critically injured and med-flighted to Lee Memorial Hospital while the driver of the Ford Mustang fled the scene. Troopers located the vehicle a short time later at an address off Executive Drive in Naples, having sustained damage to the right front and a flat tire.
