Credit MGN Michael Ertel, newly appointed secretary of state, submitted a letter of resignation after photos emerged of him wearing blackface as a Hurricane Katrina victim at a Halloween party. Gov. Ron DeSantis accepted Ertel’s resignation letter Thursday. Ertel wrote in his letter, “I am submitting my resignation as Florida Secretary of State effective immediately.
