A project that consists of replacing a sewer pipe across Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. is causing serious traffic delays. The project also calls for the replacement of utilities on Peck Street from Jackson Street to Central Avenue. The closure of SR 82 (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.) is not anticipated to exceed one week. The project also requires the closure of Jackson Street immediately north and south of MLK Blvd. which started on January 7. Traffic will be detoured one block south to Union Street from Central Avenue to Hendry Street. All construction activity is expected to be completed by March 15.
