Infant dies from injuries in North Fort Myers crash

According to Florida Highway Patrol, an infant child died after she succumbed to her injuries from a crash on I-75 in North Fort Myers.

FHP confirms, Nine-month-old Hida Jolin Mateo died at Tampa General Hospital Saturday.

The crash on I-75 southbound happened on the bridge over the Caloosahatchee River, mile marker 142 just after 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9.

Johnny Coleman, 58, of Port Charlotte died in the crash after rear ending a semi-truck that was stalled and stopped on the bridge.

The crash continues to be under investigation, according to FHP.
