Tom Foley, a Cape Coral resident, said a pile of garbage has been sitting on the curb of his front yard for nearly three weeks. Pink sticker placed on garbage by Waste Pro. Photo via WINK News. Foley is fed up with looking at the garbage. He even sent a text message to Council Member Jessica Cosden, which said, “It’s disgusting, disrespectful, and every scrap person now has crap everywhere.” But the pile has loose papers and a giant pink tag. On the tag was a notice that Waste Pro could not pick it up because it does not meet its requirements. WINK News went on the hunt to see if this was a problem just on this Cape Coral street. We found one block over, the same pink sticker. A neighbor said it has been there since Christmas. A couple blocks away, more of the same — the giant pink stickers are hard to miss. So who is responsible? Neighbors like Foley said the homeowners and renters need to step it up.
