Fort Myers Beach experiencing high tides and beach erosion

The water is coming up on Fort Myers Beach Friday night, and it’s cold. Many visitors and businesses said the clearing conditions can’t come soon enough.

The sun is expected to come out tomorrow and stay. That’s when there will be a better understanding of how much beach was lost up and down the coast due to erosion.

Higher than normal tides are expected through the weekend.
