(Credit: Collier County Sheriff’s Office) Collier County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man suspected of a domestic violence shooting that happened at a home on the 2500 block of 41st Avenue Northeast in Collier County Sunday. CCSO arrested Raymond, Colon, 52, on suspicion of shooting Victoria Colon, 49, who died from her injuries. Colon has since been charged with 2nd degree murder with a firearm enhancement. UPDATE: Grand jury indicts Collier County man on first-degree premeditated murder charge In a bizarre scene, a white SUV left the driveway where the alleged crime took place. As deputies were responding to the scene, the vehicle made a U-turn on Oil Well Rd. It proceeded to follow the nearby responding deputy. When the deputy parked at the scene of the crime, the white SUV stopped directly behind his vehicle. A neighbor then called, identifying the vehicle as Colon’s. Deputies briefly spoke with him before making an arrest. Deputies taped off the intersection of Naples off 41st Avenue Northeast and Everglades Boulevard during their response. “So I drove up the block because they had been there for a number of hours — so I drove up the block to see what was going on,” Len Goodman said, who lives near where the shooting took place. “I parked my car and there was a group of people and I asked, ‘What’s going on,’ and they said some gentleman had shot his wife.” A witness told WINK News Victoria was her mother. She was too distraught for an interview. Deputies set up tents in the yard of the home, which they taped around during the response. CCSO opened an ongoing homicide investigation.
