Cape Coral detectives started investigating Matthew J. Worst, 21, at the beginning of October. He sold drugs near a day care on Lafayette Street on separate occasions, according LCSO. Police conducted a search warrant at his home where police found additional drugs and an AK-47 weapon, LCSO said. Worst faces multiple drug-related charges including sale of a controlled substance and marijuana within 1000 feet of a day care, possession of marijuana over 20 grams, and possession with intent to sell. He was transferred to the Lee County jail.
