Man sent to local hospital after accidental shooting

An accidental shooting near the 3600 block of Country Club Blvd. led to a man being sent to a local hospital on Saturday evening.

When authorities arrived on the scene, it found one passenger suffered a gunshot wound to his torso and leg. It was caused by an unintentional shot by the rear seated passenger while he was unloading his handgun.

The bullet went through the passenger front seat into the man’s torso, according to the Cape Coral Police Department press release, then exited his body where it propelled into the victim’s leg.
