The NCH Community Blood Center is looking for people to take time out to donate blood during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend to boost local blood supplies.

Donors can give the gift of life on the NCH Community Blood Center’s bloodmobiles on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday November 23-26 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. near Panera Bread, 6424 Naples Blvd Suite 201, Naples, FL 34109.

Look for the bloodmobiles parked on the SW corner of Airport Rd. & Naples Blvd. Each successful blood donor will receive a Culver’s gift card. Escape the crowd of shoppers and help save three lives with just one pint of blood! Call 239.624.4120 or visit www.givebloodcbc.org for more information.

People can give blood every 2 months. No upper age requirement exists to give blood, but the minimum donor age is 16, with parent present. Minimum weight requirement is 110 pounds. Most medicines will NOT prevent someone from giving blood.

Cancers survivors may be able to give blood, but certain restrictions apply. Call 239.624.4120 for eligibility details. Donors are required to present a valid picture ID, must eat before giving blood, and be well hydrated on donation day.
