We are seeing Black Friday advertisements everywhere, but what is a good deal, and what should you get after the season? Black Friday is just days away, but before you buy anything, make sure it’s actually a good deal.

Here are the do’s and don’ts for Black Friday shopping suggested by RetailMeNot.

First the Black Friday do’s: Electronics, appliances, apparel, sneakers and designer bags will have deep discounts.

As for the Black Friday Don’ts: Fitness equipment, jewelry and furniture are recommended best to avoid for your Black Friday shopping spree.

Come January, you’re going to find the deepest discounts all year long. That’s because new models are released in February, so a lot of retailers need to move older inventory. They do that by discounting.

RetailMeNot is a multinational company based in Austin, Texas. It runs multiple coupon websites worldwide.

When it comes to toys, RetailMeNot said the deepest discounts will be two weeks before Christmas.

Keep in mind though, if your child wants an item high in demand, it’s probably better to go after it sooner than later.
