Cape Coral Police Detectives are still looking for the suspect in the shooting death of Alfred E. Griffiths, outside of a TJ Maxx store November 18, 2014.

Griffiths was gunned down while taking a break outside the discount retailer on Del Prado Boulevard. But police have struggled to get any leads and identify suspects.

Albert Griffiths who was shot and killed November 18, 2014 in front of TJ Maxx on Del Prado Boulevard.

In 2015, detectives said they received 250 tips, but were unable to provide answers to Griffiths’ family. Little has changed this year, Trish Routte of Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said Friday

Detectives have been investigating the case and recently received another lead that was pursued.

By definition, Cape PD says this is a “cold case” but in the four years that have followed, detectives continued to work the case. Cape PD says they are putting this case out in the public view in hopes of generating tips that will lead to the arrest of a killer.
