If you’re hosting this holiday season, chances are you’ll be spending a lot of time at the grocery store.

When used correctly, credit cards can offer rewards cash can’t compete with.
Here is a list of credit cards that may maximize your supermarket spending, according to NerdWallet.

Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature

  • 5% back at Whole Foods and Amazon
  • No annual fee
  • Amazon Prime membership required

American Express Blue Cash Everyday

  • 3% back at supermarkets up to $6,000 a year
  • 1% back after you hit the cap
  • No annual fee

American Express Blue Cash Preferred

  • 6% back at supermarkets up to $6,000 a year
  • 1% back after you hit the cap
  • $95 annual fee

“Do the calculation for yourself….If you spend a ton on groceries every year, then it might be worth it to you to get a card with the higher rewards rate for grocery spending, even if you’re paying that $95 annual fee,” NerdWallet personal finance expert Kimberly Palmer says.
