Driver faces charge of DUI Manslaughter in July crash killing a bicyclist

A Fort Myers man is faces charges of Vehicular Homicide and DUI Manslaughter related to a July crash in south Fort Myers.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, Timothy Spinelli, 23, lost control of his Toyota Corolla on a curve which then rolled over and struck bicyclist Bladimiro Ramos, 39, of Fort Myers Beach, killing him.

Ramos was thrown from the bicycle, became airborne on impact. The vehicle stopped against a billboard the report states.

Spinelli had a blood alcohol concentration level of 0.207, according to FHP and was arrested Tuesday. He also faces charges of DUI Property Damage.
