A man accused of multiple car burglaries was arrested by the Cape Coral Police Department Saturday.

According to police, Logan Houston, 20, was seen breaking into cars by witnesses at the Bill Austin Youth Center on SW 2nd Ave.

CCPD was called to the youth center but Houston had left the scene before they arrived.

Following an investigation, police believe Houston is connected to two other previously undiscovered vehicle burglaries in the area.

An officer located Houston at a nearby restaurant and he was arrested without incident.

Houston faces charges of 3-counts of Burglary to a Vehicle, Grand Theft, and Petit Theft. He was later transferred to Lee County Jail.

Larceny from motor vehicles has decreased in Lee County by 12 percent in 2017 compared to the previous year, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
