Police responding to suspicious package at Regions Bank in Cape Coral

The Cape Coral Police Department said they responded to a suspicious package situation at the Regions Bank at 1522 Cape Coral Parkway West early Saturday.

Police say they determined that the “device” is not a danger to the public.

The SWFL Regional Bomb Squad was on scene and police blocked off roads in the area for approximately three hours.

Police say to avoid the area and seek an alternate route.
